Job description

Primary Responsibilities: 


Provides assistance to the service, bartending and host/hostess staff to help maintain the smooth operation of guest service in the restaurant.


Specific Functions and Duties:


1. Busses tables and provides assistance to servers with guest needs.

2. Interacts with all guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere.

3. Carries food and drinks to all areas of the restaurant throughout the entire shift.

4. Provides refills of beverages to guest.

5. Checks and ensures the overall cleanliness of the restrooms on a regular basis.

6. Restock service items for bartenders, i.e., glasses, bar garnishes, ice, and beer.

7. Restock service items for servers, i.e., glasses, ice, plates, rolling silverware.

8. Empties trash cans when needed.

9. Complete assigned cleaning duties.


Qualification Standards:


1. Reading, writing and verbal communication skills required.

2. Mobility required during the entire shift.

3. Transports and carries objects up to 15 pounds on a regular basis.

4. Ability to wipe down table tops, table legs, pick up debris off the floor and wipe down booth seats in all areas of the restaurant.

5. Must possess and/or obtain a valid Food Handlers Card prior to employment.

6. In Oregon must possess and/or obtain a valid OLCC Card to serve alcohol within 30 days of employment.

7. Must be 18 years of age to work evening shift.


Physical Requirements:


1. Must be able to stand and exert a well-paced mobility for periods up to four hours in length.

2. Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other staff members.

3. Transports glass racks and cases up to 25 pounds
