Job Summary

Being a Server, you are to take orders from restaurant patrons and deliver their food to them. Server duties include explaining the menu to their customers, communicating with kitchen staff and balancing dishes as they bring them to the appropriate table.
 
Responsibilities 

  • Greeting and seating customers.
  • Taking food and beverage orders and accurately entering them into the ordering system.
  • Making menu item recommendations.
  • Communicating any food allergy or special nutrition needs to kitchen staff.
  • Ensuring all orders are filled quickly and accurately and that food is high quality.
  • Providing attentive service to diners, like refilling drinks as needed and checking their needs during meals.
  • Promptly addressing any customer service issues and referring to management, when necessary.
  • Performing some cleaning duties, such as at the service station, around the kitchen and in the dining area.

Qualifications

  • Must be 16 years old and meet any other state age or labor requirements.
  • No one under the age of 18 may operate, clean, adjust or touch a slicer a mixer.

Nature and Scope of Position

Demonstrates a passion to serve by being attentive to guest needs at all times. Ensure tables are clean, set, and ready at all times. 
 
Essential Functions 

  • Greet and take customers order within three minutes of being seated and delivers orders within ten minutes. 
  • Accurately takes and enters guest order in the computer system and have a strong knowledge of the menu to offer suggestions and choices. 
  • Serve menu items and beverages at appropriate temperatures, with proper garnishes and accompaniment. 
  • Exhibit integrity in all actions by meeting the company’s standards in appearance, grooming, security, and sanitation. Always show up in a clean apron, pressed shirt, clean pants, non-slip shoes and a name tag.  
  • Clean and stock service areas and assigned server station. Pre-busses guest tables to enhance guest dining experience. 
  • Demonstrate respect for each individual by always communicating courteously and respectfully with management team, co-workers and guest during peak hours. 
  • Adhere to and follow all safe food handling and health department procedures. 
  • Complete opening and/or closing duties. 
  • Enthusiastically acknowledge guest with company’s five-foot rule. 
  • Perform all other duties

Education and Experience 

  • Successful completion of required training program, including watching videos, completing on-the-job checklists and written quizzes.
