Job Summary:
Green Room Server:
As a green room server, the position is to assist all bands that are playing at the venue on the shift that they work. This also includes additional contracted artists, such as DJ's and Special Event talent. The greenroom server is to comply with Brooklyn Bowl company standards for serving and ensure they have up to date Health Card and Sheriffs Cards on file. It is imperative that the green room server finds a balance between task and relationship. We need our talent to feel welcome and wanted, but expect the server to know and comply with company guidelines in addition to understanding the artists' relationship with Brooklyn Bowl.
Greenroom opening server duties are as follow:
  • Receive your shift paperwork that details what will need to be prepared for the duration of the day.
  • Be in uniform prior to starting the following:
  • Check both green rooms and Touring office to ensure they are completely clean
  • Stock water in each fridge (1 cs per unless otherwise specified)
  • Stock tea in both rooms
  • Pull any dirty towels and launder
  • Stock plates, napkins, silverware and plastic cups
  • Clean and replenish condiment caddy
  • Stock greenroom per rider information
  • **per date** Set up cold breakfast and/or lunch where specified or agreed on with TM
  • Maintain any buffet that is set up by keeping the food presentable, the table clean and remove any trash present.
  • Bus tubs and any breakfast/lunch set up needs to be cleaned up before closing green room server starts their shift.
  • Throughout the duration of your shift you need to be positioned outside box 617 when not performing a specific task so traveling production knows where to find you.
  • Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through work area throughout shift

Qualifications:
  • 2 years of food server experience required
  • Proficiency in MAC numbers is an asset
  • Previous Green Room Service helpful
  • Personal Assistant to VIP/Celebrity experience a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Responsible for all stages of food and beverage service in the Green Room.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the dining or service area to meet departmental standards.
  • Greet and make all guests feel welcome.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely fashion.
  • Ensure the guest has an enjoyable experience.
  • Must possess in-depth knowledge of all menu items and specials, including ingredients, preparation methods, etc.
  • Ensures appropriate utensils and condiments are present for the meal being served.
  • Checks all tables to ascertain guest needs. Remains attentive to the needs and requests of the guest.
  • Ensures that all phases of the meal are carried out appropriately, from the time the guest's arrival until their departure.
  • Attention to special requests and relates all information to kitchen and management in detail.
  • Obtains food and drink orders from guests. Makes appropriate suggestions and follows all set service standards and sequence of service.
  • Collect and process payment.
  • Proficient on use of POS system to input orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Communicate any problem or guest concern to management in a timely manner.
  • Knowledge of and compliance with Health Code and Alcohol Regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Work together as part of a team to provide the best overall guest experience.

NON-PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid Food Worker / Health Card required.
  • Valid Alcohol Awareness Card required.
  • Previous experience in customer service, food service, restaurant or other related fields.
  • Ability to build rapport with guests.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess basic math and reading skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to become familiar with menu, preparation procedures and prices.
  • Ability to work closely and efficiently with others.
  • Previous experience working in a high-volume restaurant.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must adhere to all safety measures and policies.

PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Physical ability to handle a food server's tray ranging up to approximately 20-35 pounds.
  • Ability to move throughout the work area, or venue during the entire shift.
  • Must be able to work in an environment with loud music and crowds for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to stand for entire shift.
