Job description

POSITION SUMMARY: The server assistant is responsible for assisting the hosts and servers and are an integral part of a restaurant's staff.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Present menu, answer questions, and make suggestions to guests as necessary
• Take guest orders by writing them down or memorizing them
• Clear or reset table at the end of each guest visit
  • Wrapping utensils in napkins accordingly.
  • Clearing dirty plates, utensils, and glassware from tables as required.
  • Preparing tables for arriving guest by wiping up spills, clearing away crumbs, replacing soiled linen, and setting up tableware, napkins, and condiments.
  • Delivering food to tables when Servers are busy.
  • Arranging tables and chairs to accommodate larger groups of patrons.
  • Ensuring that the server station is adequately stocked with necessary restaurant supplies

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
• Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with customers and co-workers
• Possess the ethics and positive attitude that support our values and culture
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age

• Minimum of 1 years' experience
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:
• Must have the ability/stamina to work a minimum of 20 hours a week.
• Ability to stand/walk for 8-10 hours per day.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Will frequently reach, feel, bend, stoop and carry
• Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors and outdoors.
• Must be able to tolerate higher levels of noise from music and guest traffic.
