Job description

Server Assistant

Salary $17 - $18 per hour

Are you a compassionate and highly qualified Server Assistant with a love for providing outstanding customer service? Do you want to work in the heart of Chicago in a luxury residential community while making a difference in the lives of people? If so, then The Clare, the only Continuing Care Retirement Community in the Gold Coast area, wants you! We are seeking to fill a part-time shift in our Dining Dept.

Hours are variable and may include both AM and PM shifts, 20+ hours per week

Responsibilities:

This position provides assistance in all dietary functions as directed/instructed by the Dining Room Manager. The assistant is responsible for set-up and clean-up of the glasses, dishware and silverware used for meal service for all dining rooms. The assistant must maintain all work and work areas appropriately and in compliance with food code sanitation standards and community policies and procedures. This position is required to work alone at times and as part of a team at times and is required to complete assigned tasks daily that may include trash removal, operating the dish machine, and special clean-up.
