Job Responsibilities:
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the end to end ownership of manufacturing processes. This role ensures robust process development, validation, and continuous improvement from program launch through serial production, guaranteeing safety, quality, delivery, and cost. The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes to ensure safe, stable, and efficient production aligned with quality and cost targets. This position supports production from launch through serial manufacturing, focusing on process performance, problem-solving, and continuous improvement within a high-volume environment.
Responsibilities:
Supports Magna Operational Principles and Employee Charter criteria within context and position's scope of work supports EBM's ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, IATF System, as well as Magna Safety and Magna Environmental Program requirements
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing processes and documentation
  • Support equipment installation, setup, and validation activities
  • Define and update Work Instructions, PFMEA, and process parameters
  • Support engineering changes and continuous process updates
  • Monitor process performance and support capability improvements (Cpk / Cmk)
  • Investigate process deviations and support root cause analysis (PSW)
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements
  • Support PPAP activities and process validation
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste
  • Support initiatives to reduce scrap and improve cycle time
  • Participating in Lean Manufacturing activities
  • Provide daily technical support for production operations
  • Assist in troubleshooting equipment and process issues
  • Work with maintenance to resolve equipment-related problems
  • Work closely with Quality, Production, and Maintenance teams
  • Support internal and external audits as required
  • Communicate effectively across departments
  • Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, AIAG MSA, Control Plans, and PFMEA requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on measurement system robustness and fixture reliability.
  • Support and enforce compliance with IATF standards and ISO 14001 procedures.
  • Promote a safe and healthy work environment for employees, contractors, and visitors.

Qualifications:
  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing environment
  • Experience supporting production or process related activities
  • Exposure to automotive or high volume production preferred
  • Statistics
  • Strong technical expertise in fixture repair, adjustment, and validation.
  • Proven ability to lead and guide technical personnel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and data integrity

  • Statistical analysis knowledge (capability studies)

  • Familiarity with metrology equipment (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators, etc.)
