Flagship combines life science innovation, company creation, and capital investment to build platform companies that address humanity's greatest challenges.As Strategy and Business Development Lead (VP or SVP level), you will be a senior leader within the Flagship ecosystem, owning the BD strategy and deal execution for a subset of portfolio platform companies. The primary objective is to drive high-value business development partnerships between Flagship's platform companies and major pharmaceutical and biotechnology partners.**What you will do:**- Develop and articulate business development strategy for assigned portfolio companies within the Flagship ecosystem- Identify, engage, and negotiate strategic partnerships, licensing deals, and collaborations with pharma and biotech partners- Manage and drive deal execution from initial outreach through term negotiation and closing- Partner closely with CEOs, CSOs, and boards of portfolio companies to align BD efforts with scientific and corporate strategy- Assess emerging BD opportunities and market dynamics to refine strategic priorities**What you bring:**- 10+ years of BD, licensing, or corporate development experience in biotech or pharma- Demonstrated track record of negotiating and closing major strategic partnerships or licensing transactions- Strong scientific literacy—ability to engage credibly on mechanistic biology and platform technology- Interest in building and negotiation skills if not already fully developed- MBA, JD, PhD, or MD preferredFlagship Pioneering is headquartered in Boston, MA and manages multiple growth-stage funds deploying capital in breakthrough life science platforms.Apply for this Position #J-18808-Ljbffr
