Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) – Critical Care | OhioLocum Tenens | September Start

WPA Medicine Staffing is seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) Hospital Medicine coverage beginning in September. This opportunity supports a well-established inpatient hospital medicine team in Ohio and offers a flexible schedule of approximately 5–10 shifts per month.

  • Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM day shifts
  • Setting: Critical Care

This is a 217-bed acute care hospital with a collaborative hospitalist program supported by multiple medical specialties, including Neurosurgery, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Nephrology, and Infectious Disease.

The coverage model includes four daytime Hospitalists (7:00 AM–7:00 PM), two NP/PAs (7:00 AM–7:00 PM), and one dedicated Nocturnist (7:00 PM–7:00 AM). The ICU is closed, and no procedures are required. The facility utilizes Meditech as its EMR.

Nurse Practitioners

  • Must be an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) for intensivist/critical care schedules
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Active, unrestricted Ohio NP license
  • Active DEA
  • Current AANP or ANCC certification
  • ACLS certification required
