*Monitors and improves website search engine operations (SEO) performance through keyword research, metadata optimization, and analytics tools. *Maintains and updates accurate metadata across internal systems and external platforms (e.g., Amazon, website, distribution channels). *Analyzes campaign performance using analytics tools and provide actionable insights to improve strategy

Creates digital assets for marketing campaigns, including graphics, ads, and web content. Collaborates with internal teams to ensure consistent branding and messaging across platforms. Stays current on digital marketing trends, tools, and publishing industry best practices.

Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Education and Professional Work Experience: Possession of a baccalaureate degree in marketing,, communications, English, or related field and 3 years of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for marketing or communications; or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Considerable working knowledge of principles, practices and techniques in the area of marketing or communications as demonstrated by the broad knowledge of the full range of pertinent standard and evolving concepts, principles and methodologies.

Considerable working knowledge and understanding of applicable federal and state laws, rules, regulations and theories and systems associated with marketing communications. Demonstrated ability to resolve wide ranging complex problems through the use of creative reasoning and logic to accurately determine the cause of the problems and the resolution of the problems in an effective, innovative and timely manner. Demonstrated ability to interpret and present information and ideas clearly and accurately in writing, verbally and by preparation of reports and other materials.

Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations, groups, team leaders and members, and individuals. Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer, apply word processing and standard office software, and digital marketing software. If applicable, for supervisory work, demonstrated ability to lead subordinates, manage work priorities and projects, and manage employee relations.

Supplemental Minimum Qualifications: Considerable working knowledge of digital marketing principles, search engine optimization (SEO), analytics, and advertising platforms. Demonstrated ability to analyze data and resolve complex marketing challenges. Desirable Qualifications: Experience using Biblio, Naviga, or a similar relational database, and working knowledge of using HTML and ONIX for managing publishing metadata.

Proficiency with graphic design software such as Canva, Adobe InDesign, or equivalent tools. Experience in marketing books, journals, or other publications, particularly within academic or trade publishing. Familiarity with email marketing platforms such as ActiveCampaign, Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

Working knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) best practices, including keyword research, metadata optimization, and analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Google Search Console. Experience managing and optimizing digital advertising campaigns on platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook/Meta Ads, or Amazon Ads.
