Job description

About Us - Senior Helpers
At Senior Helpers, we believe aging should be met with dignity, comfort, and joy. Our mission is simple: to provide high-quality, dependable in-home care that helps seniors live safely and independently in the place they love most-their home.
Founded in 2002, Senior Helpers has grown to become a trusted leader in senior care, with a nationwide network of caregivers who are carefully selected, trained, and genuinely passionate about what they do. We specialize in personalized care plans tailored to each individual's needs-whether that includes daily assistance, companionship, or advanced support for conditions like Alzheimer's or Parkinson's.
What sets us apart is our commitment to not just meeting needs, but building meaningful connections. We create an environment where clients feel respected, families feel confident, and caregivers feel valued. At Senior Helpers, it's not just about care-it's about caring at a moment's notice.
Caregiver (ADL & IADL Support) - Tustin
Seeking a passionate, dependable, and detail-oriented Caregiver to provide high-quality, in-home care and support. This role focuses on assisting clients with both Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs), along with companionship that helps our older adult loved ones maintain independence, dignity, and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
  • Assist with personal hygiene: bathing, grooming, oral care, and dressing
  • Support toileting and provide incontinence care with discretion
  • Aid with mobility, transfers (bed to chair), and ambulation
  • Assist with feeding while ensuring proper nutrition and hydration

Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs)
  • Prepare meals based on dietary needs and preferences
  • Provide medication reminders (non-clinical support only)
  • Perform light housekeeping: cleaning, organizing, dishwashing
  • Manage laundry, linen changes, and basic home upkeep
  • Run errands such as grocery shopping and picking up essentials
  • Provide companionship and emotional support through engagement and activities

Day-to-Day Tasks
  • Follow individualized care plans and daily routines
  • Monitor and document changes in the client's condition
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable living space
  • Assist with appointments or accompany clients as needed
  • Communicate updates with families and care teams

Pay & Benefits
  • $18-$22 per hour (paid biweekly via direct deposit)
  • 5 sick days + holiday pay
  • We offer a 401K Retirement Plan and Health, Dental, Eye, and Life Insurance
  • Referral bonuses and caregiver recognition incentives
  • $10/month technology stipend
  • Mileage reimbursement
  • Free scrubs and PPE
  • One-on-one client care (no facility ratios)
  • Hands-on paid training in a mock-home environment
  • Ongoing structured paid training (dementia, hospice, chronic care, and more)
  • Clear career growth opportunities
  • Supportive and inclusive workplace

Caregiver Requirements
  • Compassionate, patient, and passionate about senior care
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and auto insurance
  • Prior caregiving experience is a plus (not required)
  • Physically able to assist with mobility and transfers
  • Ability to push/pull up to 50 lbs and lift up to 30 lbs
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including some weekends
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or GED required
