About The Role

A highly skilled IT Manager with deep technical expertise in on-premises infrastructure, Windows Server 2019, network security, and firewall administration. This role leads a small technical team and ensures APCON's systems remain secure, stable, and redundant across both locations. The position requires 100% on‑site presence Monday through Friday, with additional on‑site time as needed for project and team support.

What You Will Do

  • Lead APCON's IT team, providing technical direction, mentorship, and performance development
  • Manage APCON's fully on-prem infrastructure, including Windows Server 2019, virtualization, storage, and multi-site redundancy
  • Administer and harden firewalls, VPN, routing, and perimeter security; maintain a strong and measurable security posture
  • Oversee Active Directory, Exchange, IIS, and core Microsoft server services
  • Conduct ongoing risk assessments, vulnerability mitigation, and infrastructure lifecycle planning
  • Lead incident response, root-cause analysis, and remediation
  • Maintain and test backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans
  • Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and change-management standards
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support system requirements and ensure reliable service delivery
  • Coordinate installation, configuration, and integration of internal systems and tools

What You Bring

  • 7+ years in network engineering, system administration, or similar technical roles
  • 5+ years of IT team leadership or management experience
  • Proven experience securing and maintaining on-prem environments
  • Strong expertise with firewalls, IDS/IPS, network segmentation, and threat mitigation
  • Hands-on experience with Windows Server 2019, virtualization, and multi-site redundancy
  • Proficiency with Active Directory, Exchange, IIS, and Linux systems
  • Experience with network monitoring tools and enterprise infrastructure management
  • CCNP, CCNA, or equivalent network security certification highly desired
