Job description

About the Role

As a Sr. Web Project Manager, you lead digital development projects end-to-end, ensuring scope, timeline integrity, and cross-functional coordination across engineering, design, and clients. You partner closely with UI/UX Design and Engineering team members to keep projects on schedule and on budget, making sure delivery protects margins, strengthens client trust, and drives long-term relationships.

This role is ideal for someone who leads with ownership and stays hands-on with the details. You think in terms of scope, risk, and quality standards, but you're just as comfortable jumping into a client call or catching an issue before it ships. You serve as the primary client contact for your projects, translating technical complexity into language clients understand and telling them the truth about where things stand.

As AI continues to change how delivery teams work, you use it to accelerate status reporting, timeline risk detection, and meeting documentation while recognizing that client relationships, scope negotiations, and the judgment of when to escalate versus handle it yourself remain uniquely human skills that define great project delivery.

Responsibilities

Here are some, but not necessarily all, of your responsibilities:

  • Own scope, timeline, and budget. You run projects from kickoff through launch with full ownership of scope, timeline, and budget, anticipating scope creep before it impacts delivery and managing change proactively with clear documentation and client alignment.
  • Coordinate the right resources. You work with Engineering and UI/UX Design team members to align the right resources to the right work at the right time, adjusting plans proactively to maintain momentum without overloading the team.
  • Serve as the primary client contact. You own project status, timeline, and delivery communication with clients, managing expectations proactively so clients trust you to tell them the truth about where their project stands.
  • Lead quality assurance. You lead the QA process for assigned projects, ensuring work is reviewed, tested, and meets acceptance criteria before it reaches the client.
  • Improve how delivery works. You identify opportunities to improve how projects are scoped, tracked, and delivered, contributing to evolving standards, tools, and workflows across the team.
  • Surface risk early. You identify potential risks and issues before they impact delivery, bringing solutions rather than surprises when a project is at risk.
  • Leverage AI thoughtfully. You use AI for automated status reporting, timeline risk detection, scope tracking, and meeting documentation, understanding that AI can handle the administrative overhead, but client relationships and judgment calls remain human skills.

What You'll Need

  • 5+ years of experience in a project management or delivery role, ideally within a digital development, engineering, or web agency environment
  • Demonstrated experience owning projects end-to-end, from scoping through launch and post-launch review
  • Strong track record of managing scope, timeline, and budget without surprises to the client or team
  • Experience coordinating cross-functionally with engineering and design team members on concurrent projects
  • Confidence serving as the primary client contact, translating technical complexity into clear, honest communication
  • Experience leading a quality assurance process and catching issues before they reach the client
  • A proactive approach to identifying risk and proposing solutions rather than escalating without a plan
  • Comfort using AI tools for status reporting and documentation, paired with the judgment to know what still needs a human hand
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the flexibility to adjust plans quickly as priorities shift
  • Healthcare, life science, or other regulated industry experience is a plus
