Job description

ROGERCO, Inc. (RCI) is looking for a talented, seasoned graphic designer to join our creative team of artists to support a Navy client. Ideal candidates have an active Secret security clearance and previous communications work experience for the federal government, preferably defense. This position is on-site in Dahlgren, VA.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

        Provide timely, original creative content leveraging innovation, ingenuity, and industry best practices in graphic design

        Use independent judgment and artistic creativity to move designs from concept development via sketching, drawing, and/or computer design to final design and hard copy delivery

        Create visual impressions translating technical information and concepts using advanced computer software and/or by hand to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, and captivate customers

        Develop overall layout and unique production design of various products (i.e., posters, business cards, publications, programs, booklets/pamphlets, annual reports, invitations, advertisements, template design for print/web, engraving products such as name tags, plates, plaques-metal, glass, acrylic and wood, drawing/sketching, signs, banners, brochures, logo design, and certificates)

        Use a high level of discernment, imagination, and artistic knowledge regarding typography, layout, and formatting to create unique work products

        Take original photographs leveraging creative ingenuity and previous experience as a photographer

        Provide courteous, on-demand customer service, superb team collaboration, workflow initiations and adherence to office and design policies and procedures

        Perform and/or oversee all necessary production work 

Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Secret clearance required
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Bachelor's Degree fine arts, communications, graphic design or animation
  • 7 years of related experience in developing visual information and graphic art products for various print, exhibit, web-page design, digital audio/video, and on-line media.
  • Advanced experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Production Premium, OR Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and After Effects.
  • Expert in designing and developing visual information and graphic art products with demonstrated knowledge and capable of running graphic production equipment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, AP and appropriate DoD Style Guides
  • A team-oriented outlook with outstanding customer service experience.
  • Strong analytical skills along with discretion in performing specified work requirements. 
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills to communicate effectively, to build and sustain working relationships with a vast team of diverse professionals.
