Job description

Title: Senior User Experience Designer *Local to DMV Area Description: The Senior User Experience Designer is proficient at user research, interaction design and visual design. The individual will collaborate with Product Management, End users, Business stakeholders and Engineering teams to ensure that there is clear understanding of the expected user experience, and create scalable design solutions for the product. The Senior User Experience Designer will leverage their deep knowledge of user-centered design processes and methodology to create optimal user experiences. They will conceptualize innovative solutions, create user experience specifications, workflows, mockups etc to meet or exceed the needs of end users and stakeholders. As a valued member of the UX team, the individual will use their skills and insights in a collaborative, agile environment to deliver great experiences across products/platforms. Provides mentorship and guidance to team members. Strong presentation and facilitation skills. 50% UX Research to lead UX research phase. Define UX research technique. Recruit user research participants. Conduct stakeholder interviews, user interviews. Deliver user research findings or reports. Conduct competitive analysis, market assessment, heuristic evaluation and deliver result or reports. Develop personas, empathy maps and user journey maps. Perform quantitative, qualitative user testing and compile finding reports. Mentoring other team members on the research technique. 50% UX Strategy & Planning to define UX strategy for the product. Create UX roadmap. Plan UX activities and deliverables. Define UX metrics and use that to improve the user experience through out product lifecycle; leveraging web analytics where required.
