Job Summary:
Omega Enterprise Solutions is a Maryland-based, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business focused on the U.S. Department of Defense and Intelligence Community. They are seeking a Senior HPC Systems Administrator to manage and support large client-server based IT enterprises, ensuring the health and status of the IT infrastructure through installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of various systems.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Installation, configuration, tuning, troubleshooting and administration of:
โ€ข Multi-vendor servers running numerous COTS, opensource, and in-house applications to accommodate HPC Division IT support requirements
โ€ข Multi-vendor servers running Red Hat of SuSe with direct attached, FC SAN storage or SSDs
โ€ข Distributing computing tools such as ReS, LSF, and SLURM
โ€ข HPC farm systems, HPC MPP clustered systems, Front End servers of Special Purpose devices (SPDs) IBM of HP Blade servers with FC/SAS/Network back end
โ€ข Multi-vendor filesystems such as XFS, GPFS and Lustre
โ€ข Pre-Factory testing, Factory testing, System integration and Acceptance testing during the purchase process of the HPS systems

Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science or related field
โ€ข Ten years of demonstrable experience in system administration and support of a large client-server based IT enterprise
โ€ข Five years of full time computer science work that can be substituted for the Bachelorโ€™s degree
โ€ข Ten years of demonstrable experience in system administration and support of a large client-server based IT enterprise
โ€ข An industry recognized professional certification may substitute as one year experience
โ€ข Experience in installation, configuration, and networking of UNIX and/or NT based platforms
โ€ข Experience in creating, modifying and deleting user accounts
โ€ข Experience in performing system back-ups
โ€ข Experience in maintaining system configuration files
โ€ข Fundamental understanding of operating systems
โ€ข Familiarity with either UNIX or NT commands or utilities at the user level
โ€ข Experience in installation and configuration of hardware, operating systems, and commercial software packages
