Job description

Job Title – Senior Treasury Associate (Fintech)

Put your analytical and communication skills to work for a cutting-edge Fintech organization.

Our client, a successful financial technology and services company, currently seeks candidates for their in-office Senior Treasury Associate position. This individual will be responsible for supporting daily treasury operations, including the posting and balancing of cash deposits and disbursements, reconciliation of bank and custodian balances, and management of daily sweep activity. This role ensures that all treasury transactions are processed accurately and recorded within the company’s systems in accordance with established operational procedures.

The Senior Treasury Associate will work closely with internal teams and clients to ensure accurate cash management, timely transaction processing, and effective resolution of discrepancies. The role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to internal controls, and the ability to operate in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

Cash Transaction Processing

  • Post daily cash deposits and disbursements including checks, wire transfers, ACH transactions, transfers, bill payments, and related fees.
  • Ensure all cash transactions are accurately recorded and processed within company systems.

Cash Management and Sweep Activity

  • Process daily sweep activity in accordance with client money market deadlines.
  • Monitor cash balances to ensure accurate and timely movement of funds.

Reconciliation and Cash Controls

  • Reconcile Demand Deposit Accounts (DDAs), custodian cash balances, and Sweep balances.
  • Identify, research, and resolve cash breaks or discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Enter and/or review and approve daily wire transfers funding DDAs, Sweeps, and Net Settlements.
  • Review overdraft reports and assist clients with clearing system overdrafts.
  • Balance system totals with daily cash activity to ensure accurate reporting.

Client Support and Service

  • Review and complete client requests submitted through workflow ticketing systems.
  • Provide client support via phone and email regarding treasury-related inquiries.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams to resolve operational issues.

Check Processing and Distribution

  • Print and mail checks to ensure timely payments are sent to clients or vendors.
  • Review and sign-off on execution of special instruction fulfillment.

Operational Compliance

  • Follow daily operational schedules to ensure all tasks are completed within required timelines.
  • Adhere to established operating procedures and internal controls.
  • Maintain proper documentation in accordance with audit and compliance requirements.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Strong ability to manage high volumes of financial transactions with accuracy.

  • Familiarity with treasury management systems, banking platforms, or financial operations systems preferred.
