Job Summary
We are currently seeking a creative, highly talented Senior Transportation Project Engineer for immediate employment in our Carmel, Indiana office. Successful candidate will have demonstrated professional experience in transportation engineering, specific to roadway design. Projects include participation in a wide variety of roadway and highway related assignments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop roadway geometric designs, drainage plans, traffic signal designs, and signage/striping plans.
  • Prepare construction plans for roadway and other transportation related structures using MicroStation OpenRoads (ORD).
  • Develop contract documents such as specifications and review of construction documents such as shop drawings or contractor requests
  • Provide Technical guidance to entry level engineers

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) designation is required (Indiana, Ohio or Kentucky, with a willingness to get additional PE designations if required)
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive transportation engineering experience focused on roadway.
  • Experience with design and plan development for DOT and transit projects; INDOT and ODOT preferred
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil3D and MicroStation OpenRoads.
  • Strong knowledge of AASHTO, MUTCD, and ODOT and INDOT manuals.
  • Diversified knowledge of technology, materials, equipment, design concepts and construction techniques.
