Job description


Sunflower, a generation and transmission utility serving central and western Kansas, is currently looking to expand our transmission engineering department with a Transmission Line Structural Design Engineer I, II, or Senior in our Great Bend, Hays, or Wichita, KS office. We're looking for a driven and detail-oriented individual to support the design, planning, and installation of cutting-edge electrical transmission line and substation structures. In this role, you'll be part of a passionate engineering team responsible for bringing complex, high-voltage projects to life-from concept through commissioning.

Qualifications
Engineer I:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of Fundamental Engineering Exam is preferred.

Engineer II:
  • Bachelor degree in civil or structural engineering from an ABET accredited institution and three years' engineering industry experience.
  • Professional Engineer license is preferred.

Senior Engineer:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering from an ABET accredited institution and seven years practical utility experience.
  • Professional Engineer license is preferred.
