Our Marine organization is a trusted provider of innovative solutions for the worldwide boating and boat building industry, and we recently expanded our scope to lead the boating industry into an electrified future. We are on a journey of continuous growth โ€“ now looking for our next star โ€“ a passionate Senior Engineering Manager. This position reports to the General Manager and will work in Pompano Beach, FL.

About the position

As Senior Engineering Manager for the Pompano Beach team, you will lead and develop the product engineering team responsible for new product development, test engineering, and sustaining engineering activities for marine HVAC and refrigeration products. This role drives execution of engineering projects, coach engineering talent, and partner cross-functionally to deliver innovative, high-quality products that meet customer and business requirements. You will also support engineering strategy while ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and aligned with company objectives.

Your Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the product development team to plan and execute all product development activities.
  • Control planning, scheduling, and resource allocations for multiple development projects.
  • Lead Dometic Product Development Process assuring accurate, timely and profitable implementation.
  • Participate in leadership discussions and provide engineering input to achieve business objective.
  • Support execution of engineering roadmaps and continues improvement initiatives.
  • Execute near term targets superbly on whatโ€™s most important right now, within budget and timeframe.
  • Drive technical excellence and support technology advancement efforts.
  • Manage talent and provide technical direction and guidance, as well as handsโ€‘on project management.
  • Adapt cuttingโ€‘edge HVAC technologies from home and automotive applications for marine environments.
  • Liaison between house manufacturing team and worldโ€‘wide network of suppliers
  • Ensure that product is designed for specific customer needs, but with wider applications and competition in mind.
  • Occasionally travels to support customers, suppliers, product launches, and quality initiatives.
  • Performs other projects and duties as assigned.

  • 7+ years of experience in product development and/or manufacturing engineering.
