FHP Manufacturing is a leader in the production of geothermal and water source heat pumps, providing some of the most efficient heating and cooling comfort solutions in the industry.

  • Support the senior Test Manufacturing Engineer who is the first escalation point of contact for testing and programming operations: Leak Test, Final Run Test, Motor Programming, and Controller Programming.
  • Support proper operation and maintenance of testing and programming equipment on all assembly and support lines.
  • Assure accessories used for testing operation are available for immediate replacement if necessary: Thermocouples, control cables, power plugs
  • Support the senior Test Manufacturing Engineer in troubleshooting failures of heat pumps and test equipment to locate root cause and provide resolution
  • Data analysis, report issues, and findings using the FPY report. 
  • Assist in training of operators at 'Run-off' stations to ensure tests are being properly performed.
  • Identify and resolve improvement opportunities and gaps with training.
  • Create and update work instructions to reflect current procedures in testing and validate improvement ideas with the test engineer.
  • Recognize deficiencies in the test process and find options for improvement together with senior Test Manufacturing Engineer.
Qualifications
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university or college and pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in manufacturing engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  • Must possess a minimum overall GPA of at least 3.0.
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English.

  • Previous experience working in a team environment preferred. 
  • Ability to use, electrical wiring diagrams and work instructions to assure 100%-unit compliance with quality standards and engineering design.
  • Effective problem-solving skills using proven problem-solving methods.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Solid Project planning and project management skills.
  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrates discipline and consistency regarding adherence to established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to read and apply work instructions, follow directions, understand and execute safety and quality procedures.
  • Familiar with CD CAD modeling
  • Basic understanding of electricity and how it functions
  • Programming/scripting knowledge
