Job description

This position supports our customer’s nationwide TSCM program with strategic and operational support across various locations, providing essential contributions to safeguarding classified and sensitive information from foreign and domestic threats. This initiative offers an opportunity to contribute to national security through cutting-edge technical and security-focused roles.

The Senior Telecommunications Specialist will apply strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills while working with technical, functional, and management personnel. The ideal candidate will have experience with COMSEC Type 1 Keys and associated equipment, including installation, repair, upgrades, troubleshooting, and destruction of Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCI). The role requires hands-on experience with NSA-approved Key Management Systems (KMS) and related secure telecommunications equipment. The candidate must possess the appropriate clearance level (Q or TS, SCI eligible). One FTE may be located at Albuquerque, NM.

Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Must have an active Top Secret/DOE Q clearance with SCI eligibility.

Contingent upon award of Contract.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, administer, maintain, and secure telecommunications equipment supporting COMSEC operations
  • Install, troubleshoot, upgrade, and repair secure telecommunications devices (e.g., STE) and associated CCI
  • Interface and integrate secure telecommunications systems with classified and unclassified network operations to ensure compatibility and connectivity
  • Detect, diagnose, report, analyze, and resolve hardware and software issues supporting secure communications
  • Assist with COMSEC audits, inspections, inventories, and training as require
  • Stay current on emerging equipment and key management requirements and operations
  • Ensure all operations and equipment comply with national COMSEC policies

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of eight (8) years of industry experience in Type 1 Key management and secure telecommunications/COMSEC equipment, or Federal Government experience with relevant certifications
  • Hands-on experience with NSA-approved Key Management Systems (KMS)
  • Knowledge of secure telecommunications installation, troubleshooting, repair, and destruction procedures
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline preferred but not required
