Job description

Senior Principal Ai Product Manager

At Associated Bank we strive to create an inclusive culture where different perspectives are valued and recognized as strengths critical to our success. If you thrive in an environment where your growth and development are encouraged and supported, then Associated Bank may be the right place for you.

Associated Bank is seeking a Senior Principal AI Product Manager to own the strategy, prioritization, delivery, governance, adoption, and measurable business outcomes of a portfolio of AI-enabled products across Corporate and Commercial Banking. In this senior, hands-on product leadership role, you will work directly with bankers and cross-functional partners, shape practical AI capabilities, and translate commercial banking strategy into adopted products that improve revenue workflows, banker capacity, operating efficiency, and client impact.

Key Accountabilities

  • Own a portfolio of AI-enabled products from opportunity framing through governed delivery, adoption, scale, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Translate business strategy into product priorities, roadmaps, success metrics, delivery plans, governance requirements, adoption plans, and operating rhythms across multiple products or programs.
  • Work directly with bankers and business leaders to identify high-value problems, evaluate business value and feasibility, and convert the strongest opportunities into delivered product outcomes.
  • Own governed execution across the portfolio, with risk, controls, data privacy, responsible AI, model oversight, and regulatory expectations built into product design and delivery from the start.
  • Evaluate business value, user adoption, data availability, technical feasibility, integration complexity, and control requirements together to prioritize investments and product decisions.
  • Lead adoption through rollout readiness, stakeholder engagement, training, communication, and feedback loops, with products instrumented so evidence drives continuous improvement.
  • Align senior leaders and cross-functional partners across business, technology, data, risk, compliance, and operations around timelines, decisions, dependencies, and tradeoffs while retaining portfolio-level accountability.
  • Coach product and delivery team members, set expectations for product quality, prioritization, outcome measurement, adoption, and governed execution, and guide the delivery of agents, retrieval patterns, data flows, workflow automations, and system integrations.

Education & Experience

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Data Science, Computer Science, Analytics, Economics, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 8+ years of product management, AI, analytics, data product, or technology delivery experience.
  • 8+ years of advanced mastery of product management practices, AI-enabled workflow transformation, business process design, governed AI delivery, and data-enabled product delivery across multiple products or programs.
  • 5+ years delivering AI, analytics, automation, or data-enabled products in a regulated environment.
  • Experience owning complex products, programs, or portfolios with measurable business outcomes.
  • 5+ years experience influencing senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders in highly matrixed, regulated organizations while maintaining portfolio-level accountability for product delivery and governance.
  • Broad, hands-on familiarity with modern AI capabilities, including large language models, retrieval, agents, workflow automation, data-enabled products, and cloud-based AI platforms.

Preferred

  • Advanced degree such as an MBA or Master's degree in a quantitative or related discipline.
  • 4 + years of experience in financial services, commercial banking, or client-facing workflow experience.
  • Experience leading change management, product adoption, and workflow transformation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with AWS Bedrock, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Salesforce, and related AI technologies.
