Senior Criminal Defense Trial Attorney (White Collar & Federal)

Full-Time | Hybrid – 2 days remote, 3 days in office | Fort Lauderdale, FL | $155,000–$185,000 + Benefits

Mayersohn Law Group, P.A. is seeking a Senior Criminal Defense Trial Attorney with white collar criminal defense experience to serve as lead counsel on high-stakes felony, federal, and white collar criminal cases, along with related civil litigation matters. This role is ideal for an experienced criminal defense attorney with significant jury trial experience (50+ trials preferred) who can independently manage cases from intake through trial and resolution.

This position requires substantive white collar criminal defense experience (fraud, embezzlement, money laundering, tax offenses, healthcare fraud, RICO, or regulatory/SEC matters) as well as civil litigation experience, including contract disputes, business conflicts, partition actions, constructive trusts, litigation arising from criminal conduct, and general commercial litigation. This position is best suited for a senior-level trial attorney with a strong courtroom presence, prior prosecutorial experience (preferred), and the ability to develop and execute strategic criminal defense and civil litigation plans in complex cases.

White Collar & Criminal Defense Litigation

  • Serve as lead attorney on white collar, felony, and high-exposure federal criminal cases
  • Handle all aspects of criminal litigation, including hearings, negotiations, and jury trials
  • Maintain ownership of cases from intake through final resolution
  • Deliver strong courtroom advocacy and trial performance in complex white collar and criminal matters

Civil Litigation & Case Work

  • Manage civil litigation matters including contract disputes, business conflicts, partition actions, constructive trusts, and general commercial litigation
  • Handle civil litigation arising from or related to criminal conduct
  • Draft and argue pleadings, motions, and discovery in civil litigation matters
  • Apply cross-disciplinary strategy where criminal and civil matters intersect

Case Strategy and Analysis

  • Develop strategic defense plans based on early case evaluation

Qualifications

Required

  • Criminal defense attorney experience with increasing responsibility
  • Demonstrated white collar criminal defense experience (required, not preferred)
  • Civil litigation experience, including contract disputes, business conflicts, partition actions, constructive trusts, or commercial litigation
  • Significant jury trial experience (50+ trials preferred)
  • Experience handling felony criminal cases
  • Active Florida Bar license in good standing
  • Ability to meet billable hour requirements
