Senior Systems Integrator information

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a senior systems integrator?

To thrive as a Senior Systems Integrator, you need deep expertise in systems architecture, integration strategies, and troubleshooting, typically supported by a degree in computer science or engineering and several years of relevant experience. Familiarity with integration middleware (like MuleSoft or IBM Integration Bus), scripting languages, APIs, and certifications such as CompTIA or Cisco are highly valued. Strong analytical thinking, project management, and communication skills help you effectively collaborate across teams and manage complex integration projects. These competencies ensure seamless system interoperability, minimize downtime, and support organizational objectives through efficient technical solutions.

What are some common challenges faced by senior systems integrators during large-scale integration projects?

Senior Systems Integrators often encounter challenges such as coordinating between multiple teams, managing conflicting technical requirements, and ensuring seamless communication among diverse systems. They must also navigate tight deadlines and adapt to evolving project scopes while maintaining high standards for security and compliance. Overcoming these challenges requires strong project management skills, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across IT, engineering, and business units.

Job description

Job Title: Senior Enterprise Systems Integration Lead (HRIS & Global Payroll)
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Integration Analyst to lead the end-to-end lifecycle of complex HRIS and Global Payroll integrations. In this role, you will act as the technical architect and project lead for data flows between SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC), international payroll providers, and third-party time/finance systems. You will bridge the gap between business requirements and scalable technical solutions, ensuring seamless data replication and system performance across global operations. The ideal candidate is a SuccessFactors expert who thrives in fast-paced environments and excels at vendor coordination and complex data mapping.
Key Responsibilities
Integration Architecture: Own the design and delivery of integration flows between SuccessFactors EC, Global Payroll systems, and external modules (Time, Benefits, Finance).
End-to-End Lifecycle Management: Lead all phases of integration-from initial requirement gathering and functional design documentation to deployment and post-go-live support.
Vendor Coordination: Partner with international third-party vendors to define data requirements, error-handling mechanisms, and SLA expectations for multi-country payroll replication.
Technical Engineering: Perform sophisticated data mapping, transformation, and validation. Utilize SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) and other middleware to manage custom and pre-packaged interfaces.
Configuration & Testing: Hands-on configuration of SuccessFactors Employee Central. Lead unit, system, and end-to-end (E2E) testing, troubleshooting defects, and managing resolution with internal teams and vendors.
Governance & Documentation: Maintain rigorous integration specifications, flow diagrams, and error logs to ensure compliance with global security and performance standards.
Process Optimization: Collaborate with module leads to identify system enhancements, leveraging current trends and process solutions to address evolving business needs.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: * 6-9 years of dedicated experience in SAP SuccessFactors with a focus on Global Payroll integration.
Proven track record of managing integrations with major international payroll and time management platforms.
Technical Mastery:
Expert knowledge of SuccessFactors Employee Central data models and payroll replication best practices.
Hands-on experience with SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) or similar middleware.
Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders and influence external partners.
Schedule & Mobility: Ability to work occasional weekends or varied shifts to meet global project deadlines; willingness to travel via auto and air as required.
Attributes: Strong analytical and process management skills; ability to negotiate priorities and adapt to rapidly changing information. Equal Opportunity Employer / Disabled / Protected Veterans
