Raytheon-Rafael Area Protection Systems (R2S) Joint Venture (JV) is seeking a proven, high performing Sr. System Administrator to fill this key role supporting a dynamic and growing joint venture. The selected candidate will be responsible for collaborating with a diverse team to assist in design, architecture, implementation and integration of IT solutions and infrastructure deployments that enhance resiliency and availability of critical services and maintenance of existing technologies deployed throughout the enterprise.
 
Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Build, maintain, and patch systems for the manufacturing facility in Camden, Arkansas to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of IT systems and applications.
  • You will provide System Administration in a heterogeneous Windows & RedHat Enterprise Linux environment.
  • Advanced understanding and knowledge of Windows infrastructure services and Linux distributions to include DNS, File sharing protocols, DHCP, AD integration via LDAP, file system structures and permissions.
  • Working as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment.  Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS).
  • Understanding of data backup uses and technologies.
  • Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
  • Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements.
  • Setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.
  • Coordinating system administrative support for training development/evaluations and operations and sustainment plans
  • Coordinating technical and process document reviews and resolving system administration, engineering, and integration issues
  • Participating and leading technical meetings with team members and other program personnel and representing the organization in functional area matters.
  • Maintain and secure Operational Technology such as Industrial Control Systems by updating firmware and adjusting system configurations.
  • Set up and maintain bastion hosts and internal firewalls to secure internal systems.
  • Maintain and secure devices generally considered part of the Internet of Things (IoT).
  • Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date.
  • Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.
  • Full time 100% onsite position

Basic Qualifications:  
 

  • Typically, bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of direct system experience or a master’s degree and 5+ years of directly related experience.
  • Organizational skills to include attention to detail, time management and ability to multitask.
  • Must have an active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Must have Windows and Linux experience.
  • 8+ years of experience with some but not limited to, the following technologies:  Active Directory, WSUS, VMware, Veeam, AWS, MySQL, Remote Desktop Gateway, Windows and Linux administration, or Mac OS experience, backup, and recovery enterprise suites.


Preferred Qualifications:  
 

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification and an Operating System Certification 
  • Direct working experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF 
  • Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development.
  • Knowledge in the following areas: patch management, High Performance Computing, OS Upgrades, computer security, system monitoring and logging.
  • Knowledge of Storage Area Network (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) systems.
  • Knowledge of virtual host solutions (e.g., VMware)
  • Knowledge of incorporating Operational Technology such as Industrial Control Systems and Internet of Things (IoT) into a traditional IT environment.
  • Experience with requirements gathering, planning, and managing deployment, installation, maintenance and upgrade efforts, over multiple geographic sites.
  • Experience managing IT services and support in a 24/7 real time operational environment.
  • Industry certifications including but not limited to: Security +, CISSP, ITIL, ISC2, PMP etc.
  • Knowledge of proposal development tasks
  • Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development. 
  • Experience with Microsoft WSUS, SCCM, and/or Exchange
  • High Performance Computing (HPC) experience in a Linux environment 
  • Scripting Experience
     


Work Location: Camden, Arkansas (relocation support available)
Travel: 0 - 5% mainly within the United States.
