Role : Senior Azure Integration Architect
Location: Chicago, IL
Contract
Role Summary
We are hiring a Senior Cloud Integration Architect to design and deliver integration patterns for an FX platform across Azure and on-prem environments.
This role is responsible for defining how systems work together and ensuring those designs are implemented successfully. The architect will design event-driven integrations, define canonical event/data models, and guide delivery across multiple teams.
Key Responsibilities
  • Define platform-level integration approaches for:
    • Canonical event and data models
    • Integration contracts between systems
    • Data modeling approaches (event-based and relational patterns)
  • Design Azure-based services for ingestion, processing, and downstream integrations, including:
    • Azure Container Apps
    • AKS
    • Azure messaging services
  • Own hybrid integration architecture, including:
    • Networking
    • Security
    • Deployment patterns between Azure and on-prem systems
  • Design event-driven integration patterns using cloud or on-prem messaging tools based on use cases
  • Produce architecture documentation including:
    • Solution Design Documents (SDDs)
    • Connectivity diagrams
    • Security architecture
    • Disaster Recovery (DR)
    • Observability documentation
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to align on integration patterns and resolve delivery gaps
  • Contribute hands-on where required, including:
    • Building services
    • Troubleshooting
    • Validating integrations
Required Experience
  • Experience designing and delivering distributed, event-driven systems
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • Kafka

  • Strong database experience with:
