Job description

STV has an immediate opening for a Senior Structural Engineer (Buildings)to join our growing team out of our Boston, MA office as part of the Buildings Division. This is a great opportunity for an individual to work on exciting projects as part of a team of dedicated engineers.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of challenging projects, which will include tasks such as the design of a variety of new structures including buildings, transit stations, retaining walls, and other miscellaneous structures; analysis of existing structures; review and/or production of construction submittals; and review of contract plans for conformance with established design criteria.

This position also offers a flexible career path with opportunities to pursue a technical track with increasing design and leadership responsibilities or to grow into a project management role.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing design calculations for buildings and other structures.
  • Developing structural and other drawings through Revit and AutoCAD software packages for buildings and other structures.
  • Producing design related reports. Reviewing shop drawings and other construction submittals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in structural engineer design.
  • PE License is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation and familiarity of structural analysis software packages.
  • Strong skills in structural analysis, steel and concrete design, good time management skills, a willing desire to learn and the ability to work in a team environment.

Compensation Range:

$143,435.23 - $163,925.98
