Title: SQL Server Developer/Administrator

Location: Downtown Chicago

Duration : 6-12 Months Contract

Must be local Chciago

Overview:

Leads in analysis, design, implementation and testing activities associated with database development, system integration, reporting systems and maintenance.

Experience required:

 6+ years of experience with complete Microsoft SQL Server stack o Microsoft SQL Server 2008-2016 o SQL Server Reporting Services o SQL Server Analysis Services o SQL Server Integration Services 

5+ years T-SQL experience, minimum 2+years MDX Familiar with SQL Server data replication topologies including transactional and snapshot. 

Familiar with SQL Server performance tuning and physical implementations including indexing strategies, maintenance plans, and partitioned tables. 

Minimum 2+ years PowerShell, Python or similar scripting language 

Familiarity with web services, XML, SOAP, WSDL, UDDI 

Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) Strong interpersonal communications, time management, organization, decision making and customer service skills.




Qualifications

Focus Area:

Financial reporting from Microsoft Dynamics GP - Review and document existing reporting capabilities and exports. Map requirements to data sources within Dynamics GP. Extend and integrate missing elements into existing Financial data mart where required. SQL Server Reporting Services/Power BI and SharePoint integration Add and integrate new data sources into existing data warehouse. Define necessary dimensions, fact tables, load processes and controls
