Title: SQL Server DBA

Location: Cincinnati, OH
Duration: Long-Term

Responsibilities

Database Design & Development

    • Design and develop relational database structures, schemas, tables, views, and stored procedures.
    • Create logical and physical data models to support business requirements.
    • Develop and maintain T-SQL code, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
    • Support application development teams with database design and data access strategies.
    • Review database code and ensure adherence to best practices.

Performance Optimization

    • Analyze SQL Server execution plans to identify performance bottlenecks.
    • Recommend and implement indexing strategies.
    • Troubleshoot slow-running queries and resource-intensive workloads.
    • Utilize SQL Server tools such as Query Store, Extended Events, Dynamic Management Views (DMVs), SQL Profiler, and Performance Monitor.
    • Identify blocking, deadlocks, parameter sniffing, and inefficient query patterns.
    • Work with developers to optimize database interactions and application performance.

SQL Server Platform Support
