Job description

About the Company

At Flow, we're reimagining what it means to live, work, and connect. More than just a real estate company, Flow is a brand, a technology platform, and an operations ecosystem spanning condominiums, hotels, multifamily residences, and office spaces. We're building a new kind of living experience: one that's flexible, connected, and designed to create genuine community and real value for the people who call Flow home.

Our mission is oneness:  prioritizing our residents and their experiences, and fostering connection with ourselves, their neighbors, and the natural world. By putting people at the center of everything we do, we're creating vibrant, human-centered communities where life, work, creativity, and play all come together in one place.

About the Role
At Flow, we believe great design is felt before it's seen. We're looking for a Senior Interior Designer who doesn't just create beautiful spaces-they create experiences that ground, soothe, and inspire.

This role is ideal for a mature creative who can confidently bring forward inspiring ideas, leans into nature and warmth, and carries a level of sensibility and style that sits comfortably alongside the biggest visionaries in real estate.

This is not about maintaining what exists. It is about bringing Flow forward with alignment and purpose.
Responsibilities
  • Lead interior design projects from early concept through design development and execution, owning the creative direction and ensuring it carries through every phase with intention and consistency
  • Develop strong creative concepts, spatial strategies, and material palettes that align with Flow's brand identity and experiential goals - rooted in nature, warmth, and a deep respect for how people actually live in community
  • Design hospitality, multifamily, and food and beverage environments with a clear understanding of guest experience, neighbor experience, and operational needs. Beautiful and functional. Never one without the other
  • Oversee and produce high-quality presentations, mood boards, renderings, and visual storytelling materials that communicate not just what a space will look like, but how it will feel and why it matters
  • Guide design development across layouts, FF&E, custom elements, and finishes - bringing an elevated eye to every selection while managing the practical realities of budget, lead times, and durability
  • Collaborate with technical, procurement, and construction teams to protect design intent through execution. What gets designed is what gets built. That standard is yours to hold
  • Mentor and provide creative direction to junior designers, raising the bar on craft and thoughtfulness across the team
  • Participate in client presentations, design reviews, and key decision-making moments with the presence and clarity that senior leadership expects
  • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the Flow design language - our references, our standards, our material library, and the shared understanding of what a Flow space should feel like wherever it exists in the world
Ideal Background
  • 10 or more years of professional experience in interior design, with a strong portfolio across hospitality, multifamily, and/or food and beverage projects. You have led work from concept through completion and understand the full arc of what that requires
  • A proven ability to manage design complexity across multiple scales and stages simultaneously - from a lobby renovation to a full property concept - without losing the creative thread or the organizational rigor
  • Strong conceptual thinking paired with deep attention to materiality and detail. You care about the big idea and you care about the grout line. Both matter
  • A natural researcher. You study regions, light, craft, and culture before you design. You arrive with references and leave with conviction
  • Advanced proficiency in design and visualization tools. You can communicate your ideas fluently across presentations, drawings, and renderings
  • A high level of personal sensibility and style. Whether your background touches fashion, fine art, hospitality, or architecture - it shows up in how you see a room and the choices you make inside it
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate generously across disciplines in a fast-moving environment. You push back thoughtfully and you bring warmth to the process
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
  • A portfolio demonstrating creative leadership, spatial intelligence, and executional rigor is required.
Why Flow
Interior design at Flow is not a support function. It is a leading element of the brand. The right person in this role will help shape how our communities feel from the inside out - across geographies, across property types, across the moments that matter most in a person's day.

We are building something with purpose. Something that believes the way a room is designed can change the way a person connects with themselves, with their neighbors, and with the world outside the window.

We need someone who believes that too.

Benefits

We take care of our people so they can do their best work.

  • Health and Wellness  Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance and parental leave benefits. On-staff doctor, free therapy through SpringHealth, acupuncture, an Employee Assistance Program, and other wellness offerings.
