Senior QA Engineer

Location: Austin, TX

We are looking for a seasoned and strategic Senior QA Engineer to champion quality and drive our testing automation strategy. Your primary mission will be to bring form to chaos and lead the evolution of our testing processes from manual to a highly efficient, automated framework. Using your expertise in Python or Java and modern tools like Playwright, you will build robust end-to-end test suites that ensure the reliability and quality of our products. This role is perfect for a technical leader who is passionate about quality and thrives on influencing engineering best practices.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead Automation Strategy: Design, develop, and execute a comprehensive automated testing strategy, leading the charge to convert manual testing processes into a robust, scalable framework.
  • Review and verify Standard are follow for Test Suites: Architect and support implement end-to-end, integration, and API tests using modern frameworks (Playwright) and programming languages (Java/Python).
  • Integrate with CI/CD: Embed automated tests into our CI/CD pipelines to provide rapid feedback to the development team and ensure quality is maintained with every release.
  • Champion Quality: Act as a key voice for quality in architectural and design reviews, ensuring testability is built into the development lifecycle from the start.
  • Drive Technical Decisions: Lead and contribute to healthy debates on technology strategy, framework selection, and testing best practices to continuously improve our QA processes.
  • Collaborate and Report: Work closely with developers, project managers, and DevOps to identify, triage, and resolve bugs, and to define and report on key quality metrics.
Qualifications:
  • 8–10 years of experience in QA Engineering, Software Development in Test (SDET), or a related software development role.
  • Proven, hands-on experience leading the transition from a primarily manual testing environment to a robust automated testing culture.
  • Strong programming skills in Java or Python.
  • Demonstrated experience with modern end-to-end testing frameworks, with a strong preference for Playwright.
