Location: Bedminster, NJ (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE) to lead and facilitate Agile Release Trains (ARTs) using the SAFe Agile Framework. The ideal candidate will be a servant leader with extensive experience coordinating multiple Agile teams, managing program dependencies, mitigating risks, and ensuring successful delivery of large-scale enterprise initiatives.

This role requires exceptional stakeholder management, Agile coaching, and program execution skills while working closely with Product Management, Architects, Business Owners, and Engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and facilitate Program Increment (PI) Planning, Scrum of Scrums, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt workshops.
  • Coordinate multiple Agile teams within the Agile Release Train (ART) to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Identify, track, and resolve cross-team dependencies, risks, and impediments.
  • Coach Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Agile teams on SAFe principles and best practices.
  • Monitor ART health using Agile metrics including Velocity, Predictability, Burn-up/Burn-down, and Flow Metrics.
  • Partner with Product Management, Business Owners, Solution Architects, and stakeholders to align delivery with business priorities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across Agile teams and delivery processes.
  • Prepare executive-level status reports and communicate program progress, risks, and milestones.
  • Support Agile governance, release planning, and enterprise delivery management.
Required Qualifications
  • 11+ years of overall IT experience.
  • 5+ years of Agile Project or Program Management experience.
  • Strong expertise in SAFe Agile Framework and Agile methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience facilitating PI Planning and Agile Release Train (ART) ceremonies.
  • Experience managing program risks, dependencies, issues, and stakeholder communications.
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, mentoring, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) certification.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.
  • Experience leading large-scale enterprise Agile transformation initiatives.
