Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a highly talented Sr. Software Developer to join our team! In this role, you will contribute to the development of user productivity tools within a sophisticated Modeling & Simulation environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Develop desktop applications using Electron, with React for the GUI, and connect the GUI via TypeScript to a C++ server within the application.

  • Work as a full-stack developer on a browser-based data analysis tool, featuring a React front-end, Python (Django) server, and SQL database backend (SQLite, MariaDB, and others).

  • Implement GUI designs provided by the Product Designer using React. You are not expected to design the GUI, but to accurately implement the provided designs.

  • Maintain clear separation of concerns between application components, ensuring GUI code is distinct from underlying logic.

  • Develop code that complies with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and adheres to all RMF requirements.

  • Write testable code and develop unit and integration tests for our Continuous Integration pipelines.

  • Support the customer on-site at Redstone Arsenal as needed, including operating software in a staff-augmentation role for the analysis team.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent with 15+ years of experience, OR

  • Master's degree with 12+ years of experience

  • Proficient in C++ and Python

  • Strong fundamentals in Object-Oriented Programming and memory management

  • Growth mindset: You are not expected to know our full tech stack on day one, but you should be eager to learn and grow.

  • No clearance required, but must be a US Citizen eligible for TS/SCI. You will be required to pass a polygraph.
