Sr. Network Engineer - Planning, Designing, Operations and Deployment

Position Summary:
  • Performing planning, forecasting, implementation, and identification of resource requirements for wireless network systems of high complexity.
  • Designs, develops and implements wireless network enhancements and makes recommendations for improvement.
  • Responsible for implementation of wireless network architecture and designs.

Major Duties and Responsibilities-
  • Participates in wireless network planning, wireless network architecture design and engineering.
  • Integrates and schematically depicts communication architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission and signaling links and protocols into complete wireless network configurations.
  • Evaluates new products, performs wireless network problem resolution.
  • Develops and implements approved methods of procedure.
  • Designs, develops and implements wireless network enhancements and makes recommendations for improvement.
  • First 30 Days: Document, Diagram connectivity issues for Infrastructure, Linux, Load Balancers, WAG, and Firewall teams
  • 60 Days: Process roadmap for upcoming cycles such as WAG code upgrades and more
  • 90 Days onward: Processes should be updated and refined and linked to teams mentioned above. Deployments for 5G Core, deployments of Wags and code upgrades, etc. Manage core side of network

Required Qualifications-
  • Proficient data wireless networking knowledge (OSI Model - will touch all 7 layers, TCP/IP, etc.).
  • Proficient knowledge of related wireless industry specifications and standards IEEE, ANSI, 802.11 variants (WiFi 5 - 7), Switching, Routing, Ethernet and Transport technologies and protocols
  • W-Fi Access Gateways / WAGs (Nokia, Juniper, Ruckus, Nexus, etc)
  • OSPF & BGP
  • Carrier Experience
  • Proficient knowledge in Linux - move, add, change delete, modify
  • Proficient knowledge in wireless network design, wireless network architecture, protocols and wireless network topology.
  • Strong documentation and diagramming skills
  • Proficient knowledge of basic wireless network devices and basic wireless network appliances.
  • Proficient knowledge of wireless network designing software, such as Visio and knowledge of MS Office.

Education-
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Related Work Experience 5+ Wireless network experience.
  • Education- Cisco Certified Wireless network Professional (CCNP ), Wireless industry and vendor specific training (Cisco, Ariss, Ruckus, etc.).
  • 10 + plus applicable Specialized Skills years of experience.

Skills:
