Sr. Client Tech Support Engineer
About your role:
As a Senior Client Technical Support Engineer, you will deliver end-to-end technical support across integrated Fiserv platforms, products, and services to help ensure stability, accuracy, and a consistent client experience. You will work closely with clients and cross-functional teams including engineering, product, operations, implementation, and incident management to investigate issues, coordinate resolution, and strengthen service outcomes in a highly regulated environment.
What you'll do:
  • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve technical issues and service requests across assigned platforms, products, and services.
  • Log, track, and manage client interactions in case management tools while maintaining accurate, current, and complete documentation.
  • Analyze incidents, transactions, system behavior, and data flows to identify root causes and drive effective resolution.
  • Reproduce client-reported issues in test or non-production environments and document findings, risks, and next steps clearly.
  • Communicate issue status, risks, and resolution progress to clients, partners, and internal stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Partner with engineering, product, operations, implementation, and incident management teams to resolve complex issues and improve service delivery.
  • Provide clients with guidance on product usage, operational procedures, and best practices to support successful outcomes.

Experience you'll need to have:
  • 4+ years of experience in technical support, client support, production support, or service operations within a technology, financial services, enterprise software, or similar environment.
  • 4+ years of experience investigating and resolving technical issues involving multiple systems, applications, transactions, or data flows.
  • Experience using case management, ticketing, or incident tracking tools to document, prioritize, and manage work through resolution.
  • Experience analyzing logs, transactions, system behavior, or data to identify root cause and support issue resolution.
  • Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) or similar logic-based query and analysis tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience.

Experience that would be great to have:
  • Experience supporting integrated platforms or product ecosystems with dependencies across multiple teams.
  • Experience in financial services, payments, banking technology, or enterprise software as a service support environments.
  • Experience participating in incident reviews, post-incident analysis, or process improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with test or non-production environments used for issue replication and validation.

How you'll work:
  • This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
  • This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment.
  • You will work an assigned schedule that is determined at time of offer.
  • This role requires being on-call during non-standard and/or overnight hours on a rotational basis.
