We are seeking a motivated, career-oriented, and customer-focused Senior Signals Software Engineer to join our team in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. Thisposition supports advanced signal processing and Radio Frequency (RF) mission systems. The ideal candidate will have experience developing signal processing software, designing RF algorithms, and implementing solutions that support mission-critical intelligence operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Maintain, and enhance signal processing software (e.g. detectors, demodulators, protocol processors).
  • Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
  • Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features
  • Debug existing software and correct defects
  • Describe various signal processing techniques
  • Identify various digital modulation techniques
  • Write software using C++ Java
  • Functional understanding of the Linux operating system
  • Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments
  • Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards
  • Develop/implement algorithms to meet system performance and functional standard
  • Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components
  • Write/review software and system documentation
  • Develop software solutions, confer with users or system engineers
  • Modify existing software to correct errors to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance
  • Design, develop and modify software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design
  • Use signal processing algorithms to convert a signal
  • Design signal processing software based on sparse documentation
  • Identify the source of problems in a Radio Frequency (RF) processing system

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline. Four (4) years of additional Signals Software Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience as a Signals Software Engineer or equivalent role supporting Radio Frequency (RF) systems.
  • Strong experience with any of the followings :
    - Digital Signal Processing (DSP)
    - Fourier Transforms
    - Digital Filtering
    - Communications Theory
    - Digital Modulation Techniques
    - Error Control Coding
    - Signal Analysis Tools (e.g., WVT, DVT, or similar)
    - Adaptive Beamforming and Filtering
    - Signal Demodulation Techniques.

Desired Skills:
  • Software defined radio architectures (e.g. SCA, REDHA WK, or GNU), commercial wireless standards, geolocation techniques, software configuration management tools (e.g. GIT, ClearQuest, Trac, or Subversion), Python, Eclipse IDE Google Protocol Buffer, model-based design (e.g. Matlab, SIMULINK), service-oriented architecture, and Linux OS.

Security Clearance Requirement: Current/Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph.
The projected compensation range for this position is $200,000.00-$207,000.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
