About The Role

In FTI Consulting's Dispute Advisory Services (DAS) segment, we focus on providing expert testimony, litigation consulting, forensic accounting and damages analyses in numerous types of litigated matters, including some of the highest-profile lawsuits of recent years. Clients benefit from our expertise in many specialized areas, working directly with our professionals or with our large network of industry and academic experts.

We are frequently engaged by individuals and businesses in highly regulated industries, including technology, financial services, healthcare, oil and gas, and energy to support complex disputes and investigations that require a multidisciplinary approach to dispute resolution. We routinely assist with matters involving:

  • Commercial disputes.

  • Valuation, restructuring, and solvency matters.

  • Securities, accounting, and regulatory enforcement matters (litigation and investigations).

  • Financial product matters (including securities litigation, crypto, MBS, derivatives, and AML).

  • High net-worth divorce.

  • Intellectual property infringement.

  • Antitrust litigation.

  • Labor and Employment.

What You'll Do

Supervise and perform day-to-day activities in support of forensic and litigation consulting projects including interaction with other FTI team members, client personnel, and professionals from other firms involved in the engagement.

Perform technical, industry, and company research utilizing online tools and publicly available information, develop work plans and execute analyses to assess complex unstructured problems, assist in preparing reports and schedules summarizing findings that will be delivered to clients and other parties.

Applies economic, financial, valuation, and analytical skills to various client situations, specific to client needs.

Prepares written presentations, exhibits, and other reports for third parties on the project scope and/or results of activities.

Maintain detailed analyses reflecting assumptions, methodologies, and sources of information employed during the performance of all analytical tasks.

Supervise analyses of junior team members.

Work with senior professionals on practice management, business development, and internal training efforts.

What You Will Need to Succeed

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field

  • 3+years of relevant post-graduate professional experience in finance, accounting, tax, or audit

  • Understanding of valuation,accounting,finance, and economics principles

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and strong Excel financial modeling skills

  • Ability to travel to clients and FTI office(s)asneeded

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis,this position does not provide visa sponsorship

Preferred Skills

  • Prior California family law forensic accounting experience
  • Proven people management and leadership skills, including supervising junior professionals

  • Prior business valuation or financial analysis experience

  • Master's Degree in related field

  • Ability to quickly assimilate relevant information in unfamiliar industries, markets, and businesses

  • Ability to develop creative approaches and solutions necessary to resolve complex problems

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills

  • ABV, CFF, CFA, CFE, CPA, ASA, CVA or other professional designation with an emphasis towards the CPA certification or desire to pursue

Compensation
Minimum Pay: $69,000
Maximum Pay: $176,000
Compensation Disclosure: The compensation range reflects potential base salary for the role. Actual compensation is determined based on a wide array of relevant factors including market considerations, business needs, and an individual's location, skills, level of experience, and qualifications
