Join our Enterprise Security Architect Team

Our team is a core part of the pre-sales solution engineering group. We collaborate across our global business units empowering and supporting our peers. We also consult with customers and prospects on the application of our advanced infrastructure security solutions.

Help customers gain better visibility and security across their network estates

You’ll be focused on helping drive sales of our DDoS Mitigation suite of products as well as our growing suite of Security Posture Management and DNS products. You will be the technical evangelist supporting customers with the adoption of our products and services. You’ll play a pivotal role in demonstrating the value of our solutions, helping to close the sale.

As a Pre-Sales Senior Enterprise Security Architect, you will be responsible for:

  • Working closely with direct and channel sales to educate customers on Akamai’s infrastructure security products, including Prolexic
  • Supporting the technical pre-sales process for field teams and evangelizing our security solutions and services to customers
  • Collaborating with product management to identify evolving requirements and influence security product roadmap
  • Engaging with customers on demos, deep-dive technical conversations and product trials to drive security sales
  • Staying nimble and growing with us as we bring new security products to market

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, another related field or its equivalent.
  • Have experience in networking, security and pre-sales
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and an ability to build trusting relationships with customers across various levels
  • Be a self-starter and have a passion for learning and embracing new technologies to grow your security pre-sales experience
  • Have experience consulting with customers on their security strategy

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $119,600 - $215,400/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
