The Senior Manager/Associate Director, Scientific Communications reports to the Senior Director, Scientific Communications. This position will be responsible for developing, managing, and disseminating core scientific data associated with TerSera Therapeutics products in North America. This position will be accountable for key activities related to Medical Information, MLR/MAM medical review, Publications, Training, Content Development, and support of other Medical Affairs activities as needed. This is a hybrid position (minimum of three days per week in the office) based in Deerfield, IL


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This section contains a list of the major responsibilities of this role that account for 5% or more of the work. The incumbent will perform other duties assigned.

  • Responsible for development of standard and custom response letters in support of medical inquiries for TerSera Therapeutics Products
  • Responsible for timely updates to existing standard response letters when new data is published
  • Supports management of Medical Information-related Call Center relationships and activities for TerSera
  • Represents Medical Affairs in the MLR (Medical, Legal, Review) and MAM (Medical Affairs Materials) committee review of promotional materials and non-promotional materials
  • Provides medical guidance for development and review of promotional, medical, or sales training materials.
  • Contributes to the monthly Literature Alerts & Competitive Intelligence Surveillance Newsletter
  • Ad hoc support of literature searches and data analysis for TerSera Leadership for business development, competitive intelligence, and other business-related needs
  • Leads the development or update of AMCP product dossiers
  • Supports the Senior Director, Scientific Communications in development and execution of annual publication plans for TerSera
  • Assists the Senior Director, Scientific Communications in developing and implementing a robust NCCN letter submission plan for products of interest
  • Supports field teams (e.g., MSL, CNE) in developing and/or reviewing external-facing resources on TerSera products and disease states
  • Provides training for commercial organization as needed

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of regulatory standards and promotional review requirements (e.g., FDA, OPDP)

  • Demonstrated ability t o understand and effectively communicate complex scientific data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability and capacity to network and work well cross functionally
  • Proven track record of teamwork, leadership, timely decision making and results orientation in meeting key objectives
  • Experience working in oncology therapeutic area preferred

Education and/or Experience:

Include the education and experience that is necessary to perform the job satisfactorily.

  • Advanced degree (PharmD, PHD, RN/NP or MD/DO)
  • 2+ years of experience with medical promotional review and medical information/writing experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech setting
  • At least 5+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience to qualify for AD level
  • At least 2+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience to qualify for Sr Manager level
