Senior Operational SCADA/EMS Engineer

Are you a high-performing OT engineer ready to lead mission-critical energy infrastructure?

What You'll Do:

  • Ensure High Availability: Monitor and troubleshoot core control systems, industrial networks, and grid infrastructure to sustain 99.9%+ uptime.

  • SCADA & Field Commissioning: Partner with field teams to construct HMI displays and configure control/analog points using advanced IEDs, digital meters, and substation controllers.

  • Database & Historian Management: Maintain relational databases and time-series historians, optimizing complex queries for large-scale operational data.

  • Virtualization & Systems Admin: Oversee enterprise Linux environments and virtualized server infrastructure, managing performance tuning, patching, and disaster recovery.

  • Network & Security Operations: Support OT routing, switching, firewalls, and SIEM tools to ensure robust cyber defense across control environments.

  • Operational Readiness: Support enterprise utility tools and join a rotating on-call schedule to safeguard network resilience.

What You Need:

  • 5+ years of direct SCADA/EMS configuration and point-commissioning experience within electric utilities.

  • Field expertise with substation controllers, protective relays, and smart grid IEDs.

  • Strong background in Linux system administration, virtualization, and network security.

  • Proficiency with SQL databases and operational time-series data.
