Job description

As a Salesforce engineer you will be relied on to leverage your knowledge of the Salesforce ecosystem, design and implement ideal solutions using out‑of‑box configuration and custom development on the platform that creates the greatest value for our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, document and implement solutions and reusable assets across various Salesforce Clouds including sales, service and experience.
  • Use declarative programming and custom programming (Apex, LWC) to meet the solution design and align with Salesforce best practices and architectural standards.
  • Practice test‑driven development, creating and implementing effective unit tests and code coverage for all solutions.
  • Implement sound logging and other diagnostic tools in each deployed solution.
  • Work effectively with the CI/CD tool Copado to promote changes through higher orgs, including production.
  • Participate in source control management, Pull Request reviews and resolve merge conflicts.
  • Refactor and optimize solutions to increase value and productivity of the team.
  • Troubleshoot applications and data issues and implement bug fixes.
  • Optimize and extend features in existing Salesforce environments.
  • Work on inbound and outbound integrations with other systems using various Salesforce integration patterns.
  • Engage in Salesforce data discussions and help non‑Salesforce teams with Salesforce data model and data concerns.
  • Suggest and support external teams about Salesforce APIs and provide OAS as required for callouts into Salesforce.
  • Experience with Salesforce event architecture and maintain the existing codebase of the applications.
  • Implement security and access provisioning using Salesforce sharing and access mechanisms.
  • Work with middleware tools like MuleSoft from Salesforce.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams on an Agile train to understand cross‑team dependencies.
  • Support functional and non‑functional testing teams to deliver on the implemented product.
  • Extend support to other developers on the team for any issues and hurdles to maintain solid output.
  • Ensure architectural integrity and consistency across the applications in the product area.
  • Participate as an active member of an agile product team: define stories, implement, test to meet sprint goals.
  • Manage key relationships with internal & external resources, clients, and third parties.
  • May be required to work extended hours to meet deadlines and travel to conferences, training and skill development opportunities.
  • Conduct research and prototyping of new Salesforce features.
  • Adhere to and support the Salesforce Governance COE standards to improve best practices.
  • Act as a solutions‑oriented consultant promoting change and process improvement.
  • Collaborate daily with the Product Owner and other product team members; participate in design/architectural discussions, grooming user stories, sprint demos and daily standups.
  • Contribute ideas to the software engineering team on best practices and process improvements.
  • Perform code reviews of other developers' code and enforce coding standards and best practices.
  • Mentor other Software Engineers and interns.

  • 5–8 years of developer and admin experience in Sales, Service and Experience Clouds.
  • Advanced knowledge of Lightning Web Components, Aura framework, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Apex, SOQL, SOSL, triggers, batch classes, scheduled classes.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Visualforce pages and components.
  • Advanced knowledge of record sharing, dynamic forms, user security, permissions and role hierarchy.
  • Advanced knowledge of formulas, validation rules, data modeling and flows.
  • Advanced knowledge of secure programming, Developer Console, Query Optimizer, Data Loader, CLI and Debug Logs.
  • Advanced experience with integration patterns and Salesforce APIs: REST, SOAP.
  • Experience with Git, pull request reviews, branch management and merge conflict resolution.
  • Experience with CI/CD environments using tools such as Copado.
  • In‑depth experience with Scrum, Agile methodology; SAFe experience is a plus.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills for isolating root causes in Salesforce applications.
  • Ability to produce system design artifacts such as flowcharts and wireframes.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office products and design & development best practices.
