The Finishing ROR is responsible for running multiple finishing assets while taking master label rolls from the Rewind Feeder and transforms rolls into specific customer order rolls ready for shipping.

Responsibilities:
  • Sets up rewind machine to cut and rewind specific counts per customer order
  • Runs orders, fills out core labels to identify order, and stacks orders on carts
  • Keeps orders separated by size, city, UPC or plant numbers
  • Checks rolls while running for misprinting; report error to pressman and supervisor
  • Cuts out "bad" labels on rolls and splices rolls
  • Directs errors to rework area
  • Rotates through rework area to rework "bad" rolls
  • Clean rewind machine as needed
  • Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned
  • Performs work on editing slitters, inspection slitters, die cutters, and finishing machines, as needed, based on operational needs.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned

The physical demands require standing, using hands to finger, feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear.This position requires frequent walking. Occasionally employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.Specific vision requirements are close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
