Senior Registered Nurse โ€“ OMH

People Incorporated Mental Health Services is seeking a Senior Registered Nurse to join our Outpatient Mental Health Clinics (OMH) Team. The Senior Registered Nurse directly supports the organizationโ€™s Medical Director and is an active member of an integrated outpatient team, this position delivers comprehensive, whole person, health and well-being care that supports individuals receiving behavioral health services. This includes provider support, providing preventative and restorative education and links to community resources that support the full spectrum of care.

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm (in-person), Friday 8:00am-4:30pm (Remote)

Location: Stark Outpatient Mental Health Clinic: 2120 Park Ave South, Minneapolis, MN 55404

Hiring Range: $43.00 - $47.00/ hourly, plus $2,000 hiring bonus for external applicants.

Organization Relationships: This position reports directly to a Nurse Supervisor or Nurse Manager. Position supports the organizationโ€™s Medical Director and will interact on a regular basis with other members of an interdisciplinary team. This position works cooperatively with all other People Incorporated staff as requested.

Main Job Duties:

Clinical Partnership, Care Coordination & Interdisciplinary Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with providers (e.g., Medical Director) to streamline workflows, support complex cases, and optimize care outcomes

  • Support Medical Director by providing regular client record review updates, schedule management to include last minute appointment coordination and processing of pending orders.

  • Support provider efficiency by preparing for patient visits (e.g., pre-charting, reviewing schedules, anticipating needs)

  • Establish up to date backup/coverage plans to ensure continuous provider support during absences

  • Participate actively in team meetings, communication, and service coordination.

  • Serve as a liaison between clients, families, providers, and multidisciplinary care teams to ensure holistic care delivery.

Clinical Care Delivery

  • Assess, identify, and promote whole health practices that support client well-being.

  • Deliver high-quality, skilled health services within a rehabilitative and therapeutic care model.

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, clinical screenings, and crisis interventions with advanced competency, including, but not limited to, use of tools such as AIMS for ongoing and monitoring of conditions like TD.

  • Actively engage clients to build trusting, supportive relationships that drive progress toward individualized goals.

  • Effectively manage diverse client behaviors, including resistant or complex presentations, using trauma-informed and patient-centered approaches.

  • Partner with clients to support continuity of care and follow-up.

  • Administer and monitor medications, including injections, script processing, lab management and PMP oversight, in partnership with the provider (e.g. Medical Director).

  • Rooming clients to include performing vitals check and assessments, gathering a brief health history, and completing medication reconciliation.

  • Educate and coach clients on medication management and adherence.

  • Plan and conduct annual reviews with clients

  • In partnership with provider, recommend, perform or refer for further assessments or services

Health Education, Program Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Facilitate preventative, restorative, and wellness education in individual, group, and community settings.

  • Collaborate with the Medical Director to cultivate and manage pharmaceutical partnerships that enhance ongoing education for medication management teams and support optimal whole-person outcomes.

  • Adapt to evolving organizational and client needs, contributing to process improvements and enhanced service delivery.

Documentation, Compliance & Operational Excellence

  • Accurately document all client interactions, assessments, and interventions in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) per program standards.

  • Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, organizational policies, and medication protocols.

  • Maintain consistent presence, preparedness, and accountability in daily operations (attendance is an essential function of position).

  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ yearsโ€™ experience as an RN with at least 3 yearsโ€™ experience within a behavioral health setting

  • As required by program licensure, is a Registered Nurse who meets the requirements of a Mental Health Practitioner and possesses a current nursing license in good standing.

  • Must have a valid and current driverโ€™s license and auto insurance, if applicable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting a provider

  • Experience working in an outpatient setting

Required Certifications/Licenses:

  • Current and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Minnesota
