What is a Senior RN?

Senior Registered Nurses (Senior RNs) are experienced nursing professionals who have advanced clinical skills, leadership abilities, and often supervise or mentor other nurses. A Senior RN needs advanced clinical expertise, strong leadership abilities, and a current RN license, often supplemented by a BSN or higher degree and several years of nursing experience. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, patient care technologies, and certifications such as ACLS or BLS is typically required.
