Job Summary:
You work with associated teams to deliver the expected level of service, changes and projects, ensure product compliance and security according to requirements. 
Within L&H operations crew, you work as Senior Solution analyst on SOLAR product, which is a strategic platform used globally by L&H markets to manage Life Retrocession business.
You are responsible of the functional design of the solution. You ensure the product is compliant with the requirements, IT policies and meet the targeted quality of services. More specifically, you assess the different requests of change, clarify the requirements as needed, evaluate and specify the impacts on the system and its integration in the wider eco-system. You support the delivery cycle from specifications to final testing. 
You have an active role in the incident management process (functional troubleshooting, workaround, remediation, communication) and in continuously improving the quality of the product.
You work with associated teams to deliver the required changes and projects, ensure product compliance and security according to requirements. You enforce process and procedures within the software development lifecycle.

Required experience & competencies:

  • Proven work experience as Solution Analyst (at least 5 years in the function and 8 years in IT) on complex systems with high level of integration, preferably in insurance industry 
  • Extensive experience of complex system design covering all aspects of the solution (process, algorithm, datamodel, dataflows, user and system interactions, ...)
  • Extensive experience in large program integration testing
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal relationship skills that promote collaboration and transparency
  • Ability to federate and drive other system analysts (internal / external) 
  • Tech oriented and curious about technology and innovation
  • Strong experience of Business & IT agile ways of working
  • Experience supporting business critical applications with SLA
  • Strong logical thinking skills and problem-solving attitude
  • Sense of urgency, ability to trouble shoot complex problems is required

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Analyze and fulfill user requests and questions. This may require participation in requirements or design meetings to develop/clarify business and/or technical requirements,
  • Design the solution including definition of functional capabilities, dataflows, integration in the IT ecosystem, assess impacts on the solution and recommend implementation options (algorithm, datamodel, configuration, application code changes, batch processes, database scripts, ...)
  • Ensure consistency of the changes across the different modules and review their design with the squads and teams impacted,
  • Validate the functional design and implementation choices,
  • Document the solution, its integration and changes as needed,
  • Contribute to the technical related works (including DB physical structure, security, backup and recovery processes),
  • Define the IT testing strategy, prepare the test cases and execute IT testing,
  • Troubleshooting and support incident management process,
  • Ensure norms, standards and bests practices are applied along the software development lifecycle,
  • Collaborate with Users, Tech & Data teams and provider as needed,
  • Report efficiently on a regular basis to the Solution Owner on activities progress, risk & issue.
