Job Summary:The Electrical Engineer is a senior-level position responsible for leading complex electrical system designs and calculations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer specifications. This role involves overseeing projects, mentoring Electrical Engineering Associates, and working closely with internal and external teams to ensure the successful completion of engineering tasks.
Job Duties & Responsibilities: - Lead the design and analysis of power systems, lighting, grounding systems, standby/emergency systems, and power riser diagrams.
- Oversee the creation and delegation of customer "Installation & Operations Manuals" (IOMs).
- Advise project teams on design and technical issues, making decisions to resolve challenges.
- Collaborate extensively with the Electrical Engineering and Design Manager, the sales team, and plant supervisors to review and refine system designs and equipment selections.
- Designate equipment for purchasing, assembling, and constructing Epsilon infrastructures
- Interact with suppliers on equipment design related issues and equipment selection
- Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with customer engineering design and performance specifications
- Maintain clear and organized project documentation and ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards.
- Liaise with external certifying bodies (ESA, ETL, etc.) to ensure systems meet certification requirements.
- Guide and supervise electrical designers, and Electrical Engineering Associates Levels 1 and 2
- Assist in other related tasks
Job Qualifications:- Undergraduate degree in electrical engineering
- 10 years' electrical design experience, preferably within a consulting firm
- Design experience with power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems and building utility services
- Experience with service and distribution level load calculations, lighting level calculations, and short circuit/coordination studies
- Capable of executing schematic designs to construction documents
- Friendly personality, respectful of co-workers and able to work with individuals as part of a team
- Able to multitask and work efficiently in a demanding environment
- Motivated self-starter with high level of initiative and able to work independently
