Job Description:
• The role involves creating new standards and significantly updating outdated ones, including:
Transmission underground standards (e.g., potholes, riser structures, pole head configurations)
Integration of new materials and technologies (e.g., high temperature/low sag conductors, lightweight steel poles)
Updating standard drawings, configurations, and associated compatible units (material kits used broadly in the field)
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in engineering is a requirement (Electrical, Structural or Mechanical Engineering)
• Engineer 3 level only with 5-7+ years of relevant experience
• The individual must require minimal ramp up and already understand transmission components, electrical system behavior, and practical design considerations.
• Design Background
• Practical transmission design experience is strongly preferred, as it directly supports the ability to write effective, buildable standards.
• AutoCAD experience is preferred for modifying standards drawings.
