Our client is a fast-growing, multi-disciplined, privately owned small business that develops and delivers affordable, reliable, high-performance products.
Summary of the Position
They are seeking a skilled Senior Active RF Engineer. In this role, you will design and develop active RF systems for their cutting-edge products. Within your first year, you will be expected to lead projects with one or more small, multidisciplinary teams. This will require you to prepare and present technical material for your customers, interface directly with your customers to negotiate and verify specification compliance, and guide the work of your teams to ensure successful project completion. Doing so will also require you to work with your customers and your teams to strike a collectively agreeable balance among system-level considerations including performance, cost, schedule, etc. You will also have the opportunity to lead and mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and expertise to support their professional development.
Required Education and Experience
โ€ข Must have US citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (master's degree preferred) or equivalent
โ€ข Experience with RF devices such as amplifiers, attenuators, phase shifters, and mixers
โ€ข Experience with RF signal budget analysis for system metrics such as gain, noise figure, and power
โ€ข Strong analytical and hardware troubleshooting skills
โ€ข Proficiency in a technical programming language such as Python
โ€ข Proficiency with RF test equipment including network analyzers and spectrum analyzers
โ€ข Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts to customers, peers, and management
โ€ข Experience with printed circuit board layout and assembly (especially Altium Designer)
โ€ข Up to date with advancements in RF technology and industry trends, and incorporate relevant innovations into the design processes

โ€ข Antenna design and testing
โ€ข Electromagnetic simulation tools such as HFSS, FEKO, CST, or Microwave Office
