Your passion for merging wireless technology with wireless devices will naturally help you drive the introduction, configuration and validation of upcoming 3GPP wireless device technologies in 5G for TELUS.   • Strategize forward-looking insights on what is expected in the device technology ecosystem progression to influence the network infrastructure development plans
  • Create the next suite of technical specifications and test plans to evaluate and certify wireless devices for the future network-enabled features in lab and field environments
  • Collaborate with wireless OEM partners to roadmap, prototype, proof and develop the next generation of 5G, LTE and other wireless features
  • Drive the multi-entity coordination (both internally and externally) during the introduction and development of new network-impacting device features

  • Valued for your technical work with RF enhancements, VoNR/VoLTE/VoWifi services, domestic and international roaming, Carrier Aggregation or other network-centric device features
  • Regarded for your depth of knowledge spanning over multiple generations of wireless device technology ecosystems (5G SA/NSA/Open RAN, LTE, HSPA, EDGE, and GSM)
  • Skilled in technical design/setup/operation of lab network RAN equipment, simulator tools, device logging tools
  • Expert at software testing or development experience for mobile devices (Android, iOS) in lab and field environments
  • Praised for your ability to respond with initiative, analyze nuances of technical device features and communicate data models into key insights, concept and recommendations
  • Respected for your interpersonal verbal and written presentation skills with technical audiences
  • Knack for navigating ambiguity and thinking 'outside of the box"
  • With 7+ years of equivalent experience in telecom engineering development, troubleshooting, or testing
  • Less experienced candidates will be considered if you have demonstrated experience, skills, and potential
  • With a degree in Engineering or Computer Science
