Job description

Job Title: Senior Associate Research Scientist I Location: Durham, NC Type: Contract Compensation: $30 - $35/hr Work Model: Onsite

Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical testing support for development and process characterization projects.
  • Perform analytical testing and analyses using modern instrumental analytical techniques, including Karl Fischer moisture analysis, coagulation assays, enzymatic assays, and immunoassays.
  • Operate and maintain analytical instruments such as coulometric titrator, coagulation analyzer, immunonephelometer, and plate readers.
  • Document laboratory work accurately and contemporaneously in research notebooks or LIMS systems; contribute to report writing as needed.
  • Identify aberrant results, initiate investigations, and participate in problem-solving efforts independently.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational, attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Maintain compliance with cGXP environment standards and regulatory guidance documents related to test methods and CMC development.
  • Perform moderate lifting of 15-30 lbs. with a maximum of 35 lbs., and work in an environment exposing to biological fluids, chemicals, and electrical equipment.
Requirements
  • Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or Toxicology (Master’s preferred with 1+ years experience or Bachelor’s with 3-4 years relevant experience).
  • Relevant analytical test experience in a cGXP environment, including proper pipetting techniques and knowledge of regulatory guidance.
  • Experience operating and maintaining analytical instruments such as coulometric titrators, coagulation analyzers, immunonephelometers, and plate readers.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Ability to perform detailed documentation and report writing.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a clinical/laboratory environment with exposure to biological fluids, chemicals, and electrical equipment.
