Title: MODA System Administrator (Remote)
Location: San Francisco Bay Area, CA (Open to remote must work PST)
Pay rate: $70/hr-120/hr Depends one experience
Contract Length: 12 months (Plus benefits)
Position Overview
We are seeking a MODA System Administrator to oversee the performance, configuration, and day-to-day support of the Lonza MODA platform. This individual will play a key role in ensuring dependable manufacturing data capture, reporting accuracy, and overall system reliability. The position works closely with teams across Manufacturing, Quality, Automation, and IT to safeguard data integrity and support efficient, compliant operations.
Core Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary administrator for the MODA platform, maintaining system stability, performance, and data quality
  • Configure system structures including data models, dashboards, reports, and access controls to meet operational and regulatory needs
  • Oversee user provisioning, security settings, and role-based permissions
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing and quality users by diagnosing and resolving MODA system issues
  • Conduct regular system health checks, preventative maintenance, updates, and patch management
  • Ensure alignment and consistency of data exchanged between MODA and connected systems such as MES, LIMS, ERP, and data historians
  • Partner with Automation, IT, and operational teams to deliver system improvements and enhancements
  • Assist with computerized system validation efforts, including test execution, documentation, and change management within regulated settings
  • Create and maintain user guides, standard procedures, and technical documentation
  • Deliver user training and ongoing application support
  • Act as a subject matter resource during internal and external audits involving the MODA platform

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or a related discipline - or comparable hands-on experience
  • Prior experience supporting or administering Lonza MODA or similar manufacturing data management systems
  • Working knowledge of GMP or other regulated production environments
  • Background in system setup, access management, and issue resolution
  • Experience integrating or supporting data flows between systems such as MES, LIMS, ERP, or automation platforms
  • Strong troubleshooting mindset with solid analytical skills
  • Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across technical and operational teams
  • Candidates must have current authorization to work for any employer in the United States.
